Addie's Monthly Photo
Last month, Nana moved into her new house. The kids LOVE going over to Nanas even more than ever now. The house is good sized so the kids have plenty of room to run.
All about Addie
Learning to swim - We tried swim lessons but Addie just didn't seem like the kind of kid you could "force" to like water. We've gone to uncle Dillon's to swim before but she never really wanted to get in without mommy or daddy. FINALLY though, she let Blake hold her in the water and got to a point where she would let him let go. By the end of the week, she decided she was fine to swim on her own (with water wings of course). My big girl!!
Loving her sis - Addie LOVES her baby sister. She especially loves to tickle under Aribelle's chin because of the belly laugh that comes out of her. It's so heartwarming to see them interact.
All about Cooper
New Bed - We are in the process of moving Cooper out of his toddler bed (in the spare room) and into his own room. We went with the same type of bed that is in Addie's room since it has worked out so well so far. Just for fun, we "buried" a small shoe box of pictures and keepsakes under the bed in a spot that can't be accessed until the day we take the whole bed apart. It will be fun to get it back out when Cooper outgrows this bed.
Potty Training - Cooper has started telling us when he needs to poo, even though he has a diaper on. We've had a few times where he's woken up from naps and has been dry. I'm thinking that we are nearing potty-training stage.
All about Aribelle 6 Months Old
Thumb sucker - In order to self-soothe, Aribelle has taken to her thumb. Initially I wanted to prevent it because I didn't want it to be a habit we couldn't break, but she doesn't seem to do it as much during the day so hopefully she will steer clear of getting too hooked.
Sitting up (with assistance) - Our little munchkin can sit up fairly easily and doesn't need much help. Her head control is awesome but tends to lean a bit so we keep pillows around her and try to prop her a bit.
Growing girl - 6/23 We have moved Aribelle out of 3 mo clothes and into 6 month clothes. Addie and Cooper seemed to be out of three month clothes well before this age so I'm thinking she's just a little behind them in size. She is now in a size 3 diaper too.
Holding toys - As of the end of the month, Aribelle is holding toys. Her favorite toys are the ones that she can fit her whole hand around.
Standing on our laps - She loves when we stand her up on our laps. She will straighten her legs and back as much as she can and giggle/smile. No matter what mood she's in, if we stand her on our lap, she will immediately smile.
