Addison's FIRST Thanksgiving! We spent the holiday in Illinois this year (where I grew up). On Thursday we ate Turkey with the Raube family and Friday with the Kuntz family. It was Addie's first time meeting several family members on both my mom's and my dad's side, so it was extra special for everyone. We took lots of pictures too (see below).
Milestones:
Solids: Eating solids (baby food mainly) has been somewhat of a roller coaster for us. Overall, Addie seems to not have a huge interest in pureed "baby food" but rather, normal every day foods. Wednesday night, we ordered Avanti's upon arriving at our hotel. Addison watched as I was eating my spaghetti and acted as though she wanted some. I put a little bit of sauce on my finger and gave it to her. She loved it! I immediately knew she would be ready for a taste of Thanksgiving. At Grandma Raube's house, Addison ate mashed potatoes & gravy, and broccoli-cheese casserole without any issues. She actually leaned into the spoon each time mommy brought it up to her mouth!
Sleeping: For whatever reason, Addison did not sleep well while we were in Illinois. One night, she woke up about every hour and a half! Despite the lack of sleep though, she was still in good spirits and her usual happy-baby self.
