Happy birthday Cooper!!  We had a big Dinosaur-themed party for Cooper turning 3.  We were so fortunate because a TON of people in our families came to celebrate.  It was nice having everyone together and I know Cooper loved all of the extra attention.  I think at one point, we had 20 people staying the night.  It was a full house and I know he loved it.

All about Addie

Poo Problems... Again - We've posted about this before, but it's happening again.  I think Addie has gotten so used to it that it really doesn't seem to phase her like it used to but it breaks our hearts to see her miserable.  It only happened once this month at the very beginning of the month and lasted for about 4 days where she kept complaining about her belly.  We ended up following her doctors recommendation and giving her some miralax.  It was only a matter of 24 hours and she seemed fine again.

TV and Movie Show characters - Addie had been dressing up like Sheriff Callie and Vanellope (from Wreck it Ralph) quite a bit this month.  On several occasions, she told me that she wants to change the theme of her party to Sheriff Callie or "Sugarland".  If we hadn't already bought Frozen themed decor, I would gladly change it.  Plus, I know that in the blink of an eye, she will change her mind again and decide on a different theme.  We'll keep it Frozen themed this year.  :)

All about Cooper

Needs a wet wipe - Cooper had maybe one or two colds this whole season and each time he would have big sneezes that required a wet wipe.  Ever since his colds have cleared up, he will ask for a wet wipe every time he sneezes.  We explain to him that he doesn't need one, but he insists.

Playing nice -  We've written before about how Cooper was getting pretty rough with Aribelle when he would play.  In the last month though, he has started to tame down.  He will find toys for her and sit and talk to her whereas he used to run over to her and mow her down or roll over her and try to wrestle.  It's awesome to see this new side because I'm not as anxious about leaving the room as I used to be.

Big boy - We somewhat warned him ahead of time that "big boys don't use paci's" and when he turns 3, he will be a big boy.  Sure enough, the night of his party we didn't have a paci in Addie's bed (they had a slumber party).  He wasn't too thrilled and even had a few tears, but went right to sleep from such a big day.  By the time Monday came around and he was back in his own bed, he asked about the paci but didn't cry.  The following night he again asked, but no tears.  By the third night, he didn't even ask and by the end of the month it was like he just accepted it.  Occasionally, he would mention it and ask if he's going to get a "big boy paci", but we just reminded him that paci's are for babies.

All about Aribelle

"Wow" - She will whisper this and sometimes say it in a normal voice and it sort of goes along with the "whoa" that she started last month.  It varies on when she will do it.  Sometimes it will be when she goes into a room, sometimes it will be at the sight of a toy, and sometimes it will be at the sight of the kids doing something in her presence.  Either way it's adorable!! :)

Munchkin laugh/giggle - Cooper did this around this age too, but it is absolutely HILARIOUS!! The only way I can describe it is that it sounds like a munchkin.  Too funny.  :)

Screaming - Aribelle loves to scream.  She's a girl so it's expected.  BUT, her timing is not always pleasant.  For example, when we are in the car she will scream to get someone's attention or to get someone to play with her.  Once she gets going, Addie and Cooper get annoyed and then they start yelling at her.  It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have all three screaming at the same time.

All about baby #4

Nausea and food aversions - On 3/7 I woke up with horrible nausea.  It was literally the morning of Cooper's party and I felt like I would throw up all. day. long.  I had felt a little nauseous over the week but not this bad.  I think it was party from the smells of all of the foods we were making and possibly some of the excitement from the weekend.  I'm having LOTS of food aversions.  Foods I would normally love are turning my stomach.  Cucumbers, Avocado, other misc veggies and anything with potent smells are keeping me from eating.

Weight loss - I've lost about a pound over the last few weeks.  It's not too abnormal for me to lose weight in the first month or two so I pretty much expected it.  I'm sure part of it is from the nausea too.

Exhausted - On 3/15 I noticed that my exhaustion has taken a turn for the worst.  I feel at times like I haven't slept at all when in fact, I've slept longer than usual  I remember experiencing this with Cooper quite a bit.

Monthly Update - February 2015 Happy Birthday Aribelle and BIG NEWS!!!

We received a huge shock this month when we found out that I'm pregnant with baby #4!!  I really couldn't believe it and wondered how I should reveal the news to Shane.  I think I was just too nervous/excited to wait and I placed the "pee stick" in his underwear drawer so he would see it before he left for work.  Sure enough, he opened the drawer and picked it up and stared at it for a minute and asked "are you?".  Nervously I answered, "yes?" He smiled really big and hugged me.  It was a sweet moment.  :)

All about Addie

HUGE helper -  I've said it before and I'll say it again.  I'm not sure where I would be without my 24/7 helper.  She's pretty much on call any time she's awake and she knows it.  But I rarely hear her complain.  Wether it's a diaper for one of the kids, making sure the baby gates are closed, entertaining Aribelle while mommy is getting something done, or just helping me keep my sanity, Addie is the BEST!  Lately, she hears things like "Addie, you're in charge" and it gives her a sense of leadership that she seems to like.  When I have to go out to feed the dogs in the morning or if I'm taking a shower, she's ready to step in and help out.  I love this girl!!

All about Cooper

No Accidents - We have gone nearly a month with only one accident!  It still baffles me that it only took him a week to potty train!  Even after the 8 months it took with Addie, we still had several accidents.  I know all kids are different though and they all learn at their own pace.  I think I was just prepared for this to take much longer than it did.  What a relief!!

Hates Bugs - Cooper really, I mean REALLY hates bugs.  Like flying, crawling, buzzing bugs.  If he sees, one he FLIPS his lid.  Although I must admit, I'm not a huge fan either.  I'm sure it's somehow my fault because I'm sure at one point I probably flipped out about a wasp or bee and he's just imitating me.  I've been trying lately though to show him the "good" and "bad" bugs.  Like wasps & bees would be bad and lady bugs and butterflies are good.  He doesn't seem to keen on touching them, but will at least get much closer to them than he used to.

Points to things with hands - Cooper has started to point to things with his whole hand open now.  Like, Vannah White style.  He will line up his toys and say "LOOK" and when we look over he has his hand open, fingers together, and is slowly following the line of animals with his hand.

All about Aribelle

Happy Birthday - On 2/7 we had Aribelle's birthday party with our family .  Her birthday this year fell on the Friday before Valentines so we had it a week early so the family could make it.  The party went great and everyone had a blast.  Aribelle is very lucky to have such a big loving family!

"Bye" - on 2/15 Aribelle waved "bye" to daddy while he left for work.  Our routine is that he kisses all of the kids goodbye before he leaves in the morning.  On this particular morning, Aribelle was crawling around the hallway near where he leaves and followed him almost to the door.  As soon as the door closed, she raised her arm and waved it back and forth saying "aaaahhhhhh" (bye).

"whoa" - She has started saying "whoa".  She will do this for a variety of situations but I noticed it first when I picked her up from her crib and walked into the kitchen.  It was like she had never seen it before and she said "whoa" with her eyes really big.  She will also do it if the kids bring her a toy.  Cracks us up every time!

Goes from crawling to sitting - On 2/20, I noticed that Aribelle has started putting herself from a crawling position to a crawling position.  Sometimes it takes a little longer than others but she's getting really good at it.

All about baby #4

Unsure of the signs - On 2/9 I had spotted and assumed I was just "starting" early (about 4 days early).  By the end of the day, there was no more spotting.  It was unusual for me so of course I did what any woman does... I hopped on Google.  The first thing to come up was "implantation bleeding".  I had never experienced implantation bleeding with the other three kids, so I researched further.  I can't say I was "sold", but definitely intrigued.  By the next day, I was feeling pretty bloated.  I had read that it could also be a sign of pregnancy but then again, it can also be a sign of upcoming period.  The whole idea of being pregnant was weighing on me and I just had to know.  By 2/11, I decided to take a pregnancy test.  I had several left over from the last pregnancy, so I figured, no loss if they're old and don't work.  I peed on one first thing in the morning and was so extremely faint that I figured it was me looking too hard.  Maybe an hour later I had to pee again (all before 7 am) and I went ahead and used one of the digital sticks.  After three minutes, it appeared PREGNANT!!!!  My jaw dropped.  For starters, none of my pregnancies have been detected this early.  I wasn't having any symptoms like sore boobs, nausea, etc.  I was bloated, but that's it.

Telling the kids  - I debated telling the kids yet but really couldn't hold it in much longer.  I've had a few friends lose their babies at early stages in the last two years and hearing their stories made me hesitant on telling ANYONE yet.  But I really felt like they deserved to know.  Cooper of course didn't fully understand and after hearing the news kept saying HE had a baby in HIS belly.  Addie was thrilled though.  She kept saying it's going to be a baby brother.  It was heart warming to hear her enthusiasm about having another baby in the family.

Acne - By 2/20 I started getting acne on my face.  I couldn't remember if I had it with Addie or Cooper but remembered having it with Aribelle.  I've heard the old wives tale that women who get it tend to have baby girls, but we'll see!!

Ring Test - I told Addie that there are tricks that some people do to pretend they know if the baby is a boy or girl.  After I told her about the ring test, she insisted that we do it.  She held the ring on a string above my belly and it went back and forth on all three tests (meaning boy).

Other symptoms -  By the end of the month, I still haven't had any symptoms other than bloating and acne.
