16 Week Update - Jumperoo-Roo

16 Week Picture

Addie has displayed the need to move those little legs constantly!  When we have her propped to feed her or are just laying/playing with her, she's kick, kick, kicking away.  We weren't sure if she was old enough yet for one of those "jumperoo's" but decided to get one anyway.  She seems a little small for it but doesn't seem to mind.  We have a video of her giggling and laughing in it.  The clip doesn't really show the jumper as much but it's great to hear her so happy in it! :)  We will try to get it uploaded on here in the next day or so.

Milestones

Diapers:  Addison is officially in size 2 diapers.  The size 1's are definitely too small now, but she has lots of room in the size 2's.  Shane and I have gotten used to using the Pampers Swaddlers Diapers on Addie.  They're amazing because they have YET to leak and are really soft.  The only problem is that the Swaddler diapers only go to size 2.  We have used other diapers and haven't found anything that compares... not looking forward to the transition after size 2!

Using those legs:  Addie has her first upright bouncer/jumper.  All of her activity bouncers/jumpers/chairs, have been ones that she lays back in.  This one she can actually move and use her legs in.  Not sure if she has quite figured out that she's the one making herself move, but will probably figure it out soon enough.  We will get some pictures on here soon.

15 Week Update - Baby's first photo shoot

15 Week Picture

We went to a Cardinals Game last weekend and on our way home Monday, we did some shopping at Babies R Us.  Two associates approached us and asked if they could use Addie as a "model" to help train one of the new photographers.  They assured us it would only take about 15 minutes, so we agreed.  Shane and I stood around and watched as they worked with Addie.  We fell in LOVE with the photos!  I asked the lady if she would be able to print a few of them, but we ended up liking ALL of them!  A few of our favorites are posted below.

Milestones:

Riding High.  Sunday was Addie's first time in a Luxury suite at the baseball game!  Okay, maybe this isn't really a milestone... but it was her first time in the baby carrier! :)  We splurged on the tickets in February with the intent of it being her first baseball game (not knowing we would make it to a game before this one).  Addison pretty much slept through the whole game.  The baby carrier must have been the comfiest spot in the stadium!!

A few more photos from week 15:

Our first time riding one of these!  We've seen them downtown
but hadn't ever actually ridden one.

14 Week Update - Rolling Over

14 Week Picture

Shirt says "this is my little black dress" :)

Addison seems like she would be perfectly happy living the rest of her life in front of the TV.  She seems to like watching it as much as her daddy does! ha ha :)  We first noticed when watching Cardinals games that she would turn her head and stare like she's really into it.  Now, no matter what is on, she won't take her eyes off.  Mommy and daddy will have to do their best not to let her get too attached....  Maybe she'll like books as much as the TV one day?  Yeah right! :)

Milestones:

Rolling Over:  That's right! Addison rolled over for the first time on Monday.  We were playing on the floor on our tummies when I got up to get something out of the bedroom.  When I came back, Addison was on her side.  It seemed impossible to me that she was rolling already, so I placed her back on her belly to see if she would do it again and she did.  When I put her on her belly the third time, I got the camera ready and she rolled completely onto her back!

Head control:  When pulled from a laying position, Addison is able to hold her head up (does not let it fall back).  According to one of our books, it's a big accomplishment once baby is able to do this :)

13 Week Update - 3 Months

13 Week Picture

Milestones:

Our Lil Mocking bird:  For a few weeks now, Addie will make certain "coo" noises and then we will mock her.  Well more recently, we'll make the noise, and then she'll follow.  It's really cute!  She can do this for hours! LOL  She really gets into it!  If the computer ever decides to cooperate, we will get a video of our little mocking bird in action!

Grasping:  Addison held her first toy on Thursday!  Mommy got a few pictures (you can see them below).  The first thing she did of course, was put it in her mouth.  It was really cute to see her reaction though once she got a good grip on it.  Her eyes got really big like she couldn't figure out what she had!

Poo:  Gone are the days that Addison would struggle to poo.  I guess it's been at least a few weeks, but we've noticed a significant improvement in her ability to "get things out" without a struggle.  It's actually really nice because before, her struggling would upset her and irritate her acid reflux (which has also improved).

Sitting Up:  Addie has shown the first signs of sitting up.  Of course she isn't pulling herself up or anything yet, but we sit her in our lap and she keeps herself pretty well supported for several seconds before leaning to the side/front or back.

High Chair:  We finally got a chance to put Addison in her high chair!  She loves sitting in it and watching mommy or daddy cook while in the kitchen.  She'll coo and make noises at us while we're cooking.  Before, she would sit in her bouncer any time we were in the kitchen.  It was hard for her to use her neck muscles because she was much more reclined.  Now, she's more upright and can look around.  Also, she's at the same level as us during dinner.  She seems to enjoy it much more now that she can see what we're doing.  We took a few pictures (below).

12 Week Update - First Cold

12 Week Picture

Addison was able to spend time with her cousins Taylor (Stacey's daughter), Alexa, Avryl and Blake this weekend.  It was fun to see her around kids again.  Sometimes it seems like she understands that they're little too because she'll watch them run around playing and start kicking her feet when things get exciting.  We didn't get a ton of pictures from the weekend because Addie was feeling under the weather, but we will post a few on here soon.

Milestones:

First Cold:  Yep, Addie officially has her first cold :(  I don't know if it's harder on her, or mommy and daddy.  It breaks our heart to hear her coughing.  Despite the congestion though, she is still sleeping plenty and in fairly good spirits!  We bought a small plug-in Vicks unit.  It's small enough that it fits in your hand but it gives off enough vapor to help break up the stuffiness.  We've also been rubbing a little Vicks on the bottoms of her feet and then putting her socks on.  So far it's working wonders!

Sleeping:  Despite being sick, Addison is still sleeping at least 8 hours each night.  There were a few nights that she would wake up coughing or rubbing her nose/face with her hands for a bit, but she would go right back to sleep.  Mommy and daddy feel very lucky to have a baby that likes sleep as much as they do!

First Reunion: Sunday would have been Addie's first family reunion (Kristin's family), but because she was still pretty sick we decided to stay behind.

Sitting pretty :)

It takes a lot of concentration to look this cute!

I LOVE to sleep, and I look good doing it too!

Aunt Joy babysat me and we were BOTH exhausted!!

Daddy helps make me smile while taking pictures!
