Weekly Update - Pointing

Weekly Update

We've been winding down from a very busy month!  It's been nice to be back at home and relaxing and watching our baby girl grow!  We didn't get many pictures this week, but I managed to snap a few when we went to Captain Ron's with Uncle Dillon and cousins Blake and Avryl.

Milestones: Week of June 3rd 2011 (56 Weeks)

Eating:  Addison now eats AT LEAST two baby puree' jars of food per meal.  We don't heat anything that we're giving her, to prevent a finicky eater when we're out and don't have access to a microwave.  It's helpful too when we get her up in the morning and she doesn't have patience to wait for something to be heated!

Growing:  Addie doesn't fit in any of her 12 or 18 month pj's!!  We now just put her in sleeveless onesies and shorts or pants.  She seems just as happy crawling around in a diaper, but our hard floors and her soft skin don't seem to agree (she gets red marks on her poor knees).

Waving:  Recently, she has started waving bye differently.  She used to extend her arm out and bat it up and down.  Now, she extends her arm out and opens/closes her hand with her palm in (like saying come here).

"Go Crazy":  She has done this before, but now she does it on command LOL!  She used to shake her head "no" for no reason at all.  Now, when mommy or daddy says "go crazy" she shakes her head and will sometimes make an "aaahhhhaaahhhh" noise with it.  It's super cute!!!

Pointing:  She will point using her whole hand.  At first, daddy and I weren't sure what she was doing because she would look at something and just extend her arm out.  Then we would walk over to what we thought she would be looking at, like a light switch or something, and she would start playing with it.  Now it's pretty obvious because she will point to her milk with her hand or a toy that's out of reach.  Although the pointing is really cute now, we make it a point to repeat whatever she is pointing at before giving it to her.
