This week, Nana (Kristin's mom) came for a visit and to help mommy put Christmas decorations up. Nana loved listening to all of Addison's new sounds and enjoyed rocking her to sleep. It was really cute because any time Nana talked, Addie would just stare at her. I think it's safe to say that Addison loves her Nana!! :)
Milestones:
Seeing her first show: On Tuesday we went to Blake's Christmas performance at school (Kristin's nephew). We weren't sure how Addie would do with it, but she was amazing! Through the entire hour, she sat on mommy's lap and just looked around. Now if we could just get her to sit through a movie at the theater! :)
Thumb sucking: Earlier in the week, Shane told me that he saw Addie sucking her thumb. I figured it was just a one-time thing, but she has done it several times since. We've been popping the paci in her mouth every time we see the thumb go in, hoping that maybe we can keep her from getting too attached to the thumb. Who knows if it's the "right" thing to do, but it's worth a shot.
Finger to mouth noise: Ok, maybe not a milestone but it's absolutely ADORABLE when she does this. When you put your hand or finger to Addie's mouth and pat her lips, she sings and hums. I've done everything I can to get a video uploaded on the blog, but the website won't cooperate!
New Play Room: It's a work in progress, but mommy and daddy have started turning one of the spare bedrooms into a toy room. When we first took Addie in the room, she just starred at the floor for several minutes. She must've been overwhelmed by the colors! She seems to love scratching at the foam floor tiles and listening to the noise they make.
