33 Week Update

So we're headed out this weekend for our final weekend of travel.  Shane's family is having a baby shower for us in his hometown of Benton, Arkansas.  We're so excited to see everyone.
My doctor has asked that we not travel past 34 weeks, so Shane and I have decided that we are anchored to  Camdenton after this weekend.
Our next doctor appointment is Monday.  Monday's checkup will be pretty simple as always but two weeks later, at my 36 week appointment, we'll get another 3D sonogram! :)

Here's the most recent baby bump picture.  I can feel things getting more and more cramped in my belly.  Addie's kicks and jolts are pretty focused on select areas (versus all over the place).  It's getting easier to feel which limbs are where when she moves too, it's so neat!

Bloomington Baby Shower

I had such an awesome time at the baby shower on Saturday!  I couldn't believe how many people were there!  It was really nice to be able to hang out with everyone.  Robin did an amazing job planning everything out.
A few pictures of the shower are posted below.  There weren't many on my camera, so I'll post more once I get some from other cameras that were there.

32 Week Update

WOW, can't believe we're already at 32 weeks!  It seems like things have flown by so far.  Lets hope the rest of the pregnancy can do the same :)
Addie gets hiccups at least once a day now.  It's so strange to feel.  Sometimes if I lay on my side and rub my belly, her hiccups will stop.  I've always hated getting hiccups, so I feel so bad for her when she gets them.
I've been dreading them since day one of finding out about being pregnant... stretch marks!!  Yup, I'm seeing the first sign of them on the upper sides of my waist.  Doctor Hooker said that it was inevitable because it's pretty much hereditary and mom has them, but I still held hope.  Right now they are just 3 or 4 purple dots on my left and right side, but I'm guessing soon enough they'll make their way across the belly to form a road map.
This weekend my cousin Robin is having a baby shower for me in Bloomington.  I'm really excited because there will be a lot of people there that I haven't seen in a while.  I'll be sure to post lots of pictures once I get home.
Here's the most updated baby bump pic.

30 Week Update

I received a summons for jury duty for the entire month of March.  I report first thing on Monday (March 1st).  Not exactly sure how it works, but hopefully they'll see the big belly during screening this week and pick a different juror!  Otherwise, there's going to have to be a pee break about every 20 minutes!!
This week Shane and I have made a few more updates to the nursery.  It's been difficult finding the right finishing touches that match the existing accessories.  It seems like the best way to get things to match is to paint them ourselves.  We'll get some new pictures of the nursery on here soon.
Avryl (my niece) was at the house when I was taking this week's baby bump picture. It was really cute because she kept running over to touch my belly and then she would giggle.  Here are the pics...

29 Week Update

This week we celebrated Shane's 32nd birthday!  Happy birthday Shane! :)
It's been two weeks since my last baby bump picture so I've attached one below.
You can definitely see a difference in my belly from two weeks ago.  I'm at 20lbs from my pre baby weight.  I feel like 50% of that is in my face!!  In the last three weeks, my face has plumped to the size of a Goodyear Blimp!  I've had a few moms tell me that they gained 50, 60, and 70lbs while pregnant and 20 to 30lbs is not much, but it feels like a TON!
This week I had the privilege of experiencing heart burn for the first time.  I really wasn't sure what it was at first, but after talking to a few people, it was pretty obvious.  On the night that it was at it's worst, I slept about 2 hours total the entire night.  Dr. Hooker prescribed something to help out and I haven't felt it since!
Only 11 weeks to go!!

Our First Baby Shower

Shane's office threw our first baby shower this weekend.  We figured there would be cake and maybe a gift or two, but there was so much more!! It was such a great surprise to see all of the decorations, the fun games, the AMAZING cake, and the sweetest gifts.  We received lots of clothes, 2 diaper genies, a play mat, diaper bag, baby butt care products ;) , and more!  We're so thankful to have such awesome friends!
Thanks DDS!

Family Car

So, apparently car seats don't fit very well into 2-door cars... Because of this, Shane and I decided to look into a more family-friendly vehicle.
After a lot of research, mind changing, more research, and money saving.... we found one!  I have to say, it was difficult saying goodbye to my accord.  I've had it for 7 years and it has been the best vehicle a person could ask for.  The vehicle we choose was the Mazda CX-9.  I love that the LATCH locks are really easy to access (for the carseat), there's child locks on the doors, and even a third row in the back... perhaps for future children?? :)
Here are some final pictures with the accord, and new pictures with with the Mazda.
